The Journey So Far.
Hello, my name is Beckie and I am the owner of Sugar Mae Skincare and Studio. I have been in the beauty industry for 6 years now, owning my own business offering body sugaring and other services. I have always wanted to start my own product line. When the pandemic hit and I was forced to close my studio doors on and off I knew this way the time I needed to start learning and researching about how to begin this journey.
I enrolled in a online skincare formulation course, and have learnt the fundamentals about ingredients, how they work together and so much in regards to the skin and they various layers.
With this course I have learnt so much about the importance of quality ingredients, natural ingredients are not only fantastic for your skin but they work. There will never be any synthetic fragrance in any of my products and they will be formulated using as many organically sourced ingredients as possible.
I believe in being environmentally conscious, and look forward to the day that I can offer a safe way to have my products be refillable. At this time it is not something the lab can accommodate, however they are looking into ways to make this possible.
Any product brought into the line has been developed in a lab, tested and has a special place in my skincare routine.
As a business owner, I believe in creating sustainable, effective products that are affordable and feel good on your skin.
